Captain Mike Cleary has been fishing the Kennebec and the surrounding areas since age 8. His passion for game fish took him to the warm waters of Destin, Florida and St. Petersburg, Florida, where he honed his skills on Redfish, Snook, Cobia, trophy Tarpon, Grouper, Kingfish and shark.

Captain Mike is a 50 ton captain, Registered Maine Guide and a member of the Maine Professional Guide’s Association.

Captain Mike is a full time guide. He chases inshore striped bass (fly or bait), does offshore jigging for ground fish and chums up monster shark,
with multiple hook ups on most trips!

Being out on the bite every day helps put you on the fish!

Safety for both the angler and crew is his number one priority. As a 50 ton captain, Mike has gained invaluable experience with passenger vessels (of all types) up to 65 feet and 150 passengers.
